Lip Filler & Rejuvenation

Lip augmentation is in the top 3 of most popular aesthetic injectable treatments worldwide. It gained popularity in the early 2000’s and fast became a trend for the bigger the better with no consideration for the rest of the face. Thankfully Dr Natalie and team have always been advocates for natural but noticeable lip fillers. Overfull, migrated and over projected lips can be spotted by many, but lips treated appreciating the anatomy and facial harmony are undetectable and merely admired.

One size fits all does not apply to lips. The shape, size and proportion of lips can be altered with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers.

During a thorough consultation with one of our expert doctors you can discuss your desired shape and size. The doctor will discuss with you how we use a small dental anaesthetic to completely numb the lips before using a cannula and sometimes needle to treat the lips.

You’ll leave a little numb but with lips like you were born with them.

Lip Filler Aftercare

Our lip filler aftercare packs include:

A lip mask
Teoxane Aftercare Balm
Aftercare card

We recommend applying Teoxane Aftercare Balm to the lips straight after your treatment, as it contains arnica which helps to soothe any bruising; it also has an anti-inflammatory effect and healing properties which helps support tissue repair.

To really reduce any swelling in your lips, we advise putting your lip mask in the fridge. We also advise waiting until the numbness has subsided before applying the lip mask.

Aftercare Instructions:

Do not touch the areas treated for a minimum of 12 hours.
No makeup to be worn until the next day.
Avoid exercise and alcohol for 48 hours after treatment.
Cold compresses can be applied to swollen areas after treatment and any local anaesthetic has worn off.
For filler, please avoid side and face sleeping for 7 days.

Lip Filler FAQs

It doesn’t have to! Here at The Doctor & Company we offer all patients a small dental anaesthetic for lip fillers. This strings for a few seconds but then the procedure is completely pain free.

Lip filler has the longest and unfortunately most unpredictable downtime. The area is concentrated with blood vessel and therefore is a higher risk for bruising and swelling. This varies person to person so we always advise to have lip fillers when you do not have any important events on.

Lip filler comes in 0.5 and 1ml syringes but this isn’t the only difference. Fillers come in different types and vary in density and projection. Your doctor will advise on which type and how much during consultation. However we tend to see this after lip filler:

This varies but most fillers will last 6-9 months in the lips. This can be overlapped to increase volume of lips over time.

Yes, aftercare is crucial to ensure optimal results and minimise the risk of complications. Your skincare professional will provide specific instructions on how to cleanse, moisturise, and protect your skin during the healing process.
